Maritime Veterinary Imaging

Maritime Veterinary Imaging opened in Atlantic Canada in February 2008, offering veterinarians radiographic consultation and ultrasonography for small animal and exotic patients.

We provide high quality service with prompt turnaround. All diagnostic evaluations are performed by an ACVR Board Certified Veterinary Radiologist.

The Radiologist

Paul M. Rist, DVM, Diplomate ACVR

Paul was born and raised in Slidell, Louisiana. He has strong ties to Canada as his wife Bronwyn Crane (also a veterinarian) is from Kensington, PEI and his mother a native of Corner Brook, Newfoundland.

He graduated from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. Following graduation, from 2001-2002, he completed a one year rotating internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the University of Prince Edward Island, Atlantic Veterinary College. From 2002-2005, he completed a Residency in Diagnostic Imaging (Radiology) at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.

Before opening Maritime Veterinary Imaging, he worked as an Assistant Professor and Faculty Radiologist at the Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He also currently works part-time as a clinical radiologist at the University of Prince Edward Island Atlantic Veterinary College. He is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and a Board Certified Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR).
